We purchased this item for a stairway to a children’s bunk room that we were adding to our home as part of a remodel. The handrail is anodized aluminum and smooth to the touch, sturdy, and attractive. The LED light works as shown in the video on the seller’s site. The kids think it is super cool and love chasing it up the stairs. Installation is not for beginners. Unless you have strong handyman skills, using a skilled carpenter and an electrician likely is necessary. Although mounting to already finished walls is possible, for maximum strength of attachment we recommend having solid wood backing material already in the walls or added to the surface of the drywall to provide strong anchor points for the rail mounting posts. Overall, though, a great product from a really helpful and conscientious seller. We’re very happy!

This LED handrail is so cool!! I just installed it and it truly impressed all my families!! It has censors on both sides and light flows like water when you go up/down. The quality is way better than I expected - really well made, and the finish is awesome. It gives our stairs such a cool vibe, especially at night. The seller was super helpful and responsive when I had questions, providing guides on how to measure accurately. Also was very responsive when I had questions during the installation.
